Ok now how Can I set a filter. I would like to search images in directory:
When I'm using this code i'm getting a problem: NullPointerException

File root = new File(path);
File[] list = root.listFiles(listFilter);

Hi Joe

Now, with release 7, have you heared of a fast way to count number of files and directories in a directory?

I am currently using listFiles and a Stack to push and pool so a sto avoid memory issues and be able to trace network drives with over 200K files.

Therefore, every second counts.
I've tried the walkFileTree but its way too slow as it actually reads all BasicAttrs from each File, which in my case is not needed.
